Mr. Cristo called with a description of a garage door lift cable very clearly snapped in two.
Our Solution:
As always, we started by inspecting the garage door system for anything else that could have contributed to the lift cable breaking. It turned out that the other cable was slightly tangled which forced its twin to do most of the work. We removed both cables and installed a new pair after cleaning and oiling the spools, and then tested the Cristos’ garage door to make sure.
